EFT Network

ACH Payment Processing (eCheck)

These services will allow you to better control your cash flow, by providing you with the ability to electronically debit from your client's checking or savings account. The ACH provider that Build Your Firm recommends is EFT Network . EFT has been operating since 1998 and is one of the largest ACH processers nationwide. Both Build Your Firm and Ratafia & Co. both use EFT Network to control cash flow and efficiently process monthly payments. While there is an upfront fee, the annual cost is far less than the traditional process of mailing out invoices and waiting for checks.

While many local banks provide ACH services as well, BYF recommends a third party ACH provider because it provides more flexibility and portability. In other words, if you change your banking relationship over to another bank, your billing system is not tied to that old banking relationship. It's much easier to change banks if your ACH billing system is tied to an ACH processer that is independent from your banking relationship.

Because there is a set-up fee and monthly fee to provide this service, BYF recommends this service to accounting firms generating annual sales of at least $200,000+.

EFT/Recurring Payments Program: The ability to initiate payments (fixed or variable) from a customer for a regularly recurring payment, on a specific payment schedule (monthly, quarterly, weekly). No paper check is involved, no invoicing, as the transaction is originated entirely electronic by ACH payment.

Fees: The first year fees for ACH processing is approximately $300. There is no set-up fee,  a monthly fee of $25, and small variable transaction fees.

Set-up fee: Now $0 (normally $195)

Monthly fee: $25 per month (fixed, recurring monthly)

Telephone check: $0.19 per transaction originated. No minimums.

Recurring payments fee: $0.19 per transaction originated. No minimums.

Check 21 Remote Deposit: $0.24 per transaction originated. No minimums.

Returns: $3.00 per each return received.

Processing Time: 3-4 business days - Process on Monday, receive funds by Friday morning
